As part of its commitment to positive impact, Corporación Hijos de Rivera sponsors the Sustainable Rural Forum, an annual event that brings together experts, professionals, researchers, entrepreneurs and civil society representatives to discuss and promote rural sustainability. The Forum focuses on the search for sustainable solutions in areas such as the conservation of ecosystem services, the well-being of the population, the quality of life and the preservation of cultural heritage. During the Forum there will be keynote speeches, panel discussions, roundtable discussions and/or presentations of case studies and initiatives that are transforming the area into a sustainable environment. Participants will have the opportunity to learn from leading experts, share their own experiences, network and collaborate in working groups to develop concrete proposals and recommendations that promote sustainability locally and globally.
Sustainable Rural Forum
The profound impact that the primary sector has on all areas of our lives requires activism and a response from society as a whole. With this objective in mind, the second edition of the Sustainable Rural Forum was held in the rural environment of Os Casares (Chantada) on 19 and 20 April 2024, a space open to debate.
The Sustainable Rural Forum, large companies linked to the primary sector, such as the Corporación Hijos de Rivera, is a space for discussion and debate to generate proposals to be transferred to the administrative authorities and other relevant actors in society to demand the necessary regulatory changes to transform the rural area into a more prosperous and sustainable environment.
